The Cross Covers Your Past.

Driving through the Chihuahuan Desert this morning, I glanced at the side mirror of our RV to see the sunrise behind. In the background I saw the powerline posts in the form of a cross. Immediately, the Lord prompted me to share the good news of His forgiveness because so many believers are struggling with issues that are tied to condemnation.

If you’re looking into your past, even one minute ago, and you’re feeling guilty because you did something you regret…or you’re feeling shame from thinking you should’ve been doing more or something different, then you’ve been deceived by the arrows of the accuser.

“So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

When you’re bombarded by what’s behind, you must believe the only reality there is, is the cross. All Papa sees in your past is the perfect sacrifice of His Son Who took all your sin, mistakes, failures, regrets, curses, guilt and shame on His body, obliterating them forever!

Your Daddy God wants you free from judging yourself! He wants you free from trying to perform for Him and instead wants you preoccupied with Jesus Who was judged in your place and is now your identity. Father is speaking kindly and relating to you by the language of His Son, Who IS your Peace, Favor, Health, Prosperity and INNOCENCE!

“And by the blood of his cross, everything in heaven and earth is brought back to himself—back to its original intent, restored to innocence again!”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It’s time to believe you are radically, unconditionally loved and blessed in His righteousness and speak it out! Say it over and over again when the devil tries to make you feel unworthy: “I am the righteousness of God in Christ!” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

That means as Jesus IS before God, so are you!

The only way to have true peace and joy is by receiving this grace and resting in Him. When you do, His glory will flood in, the darkness will fall away and all those things you’re believing for will be added to you.

Corrie ten Boom once said, “Look to the world and you’ll be distressed. Look to yourself and you’ll be depressed. But look to Jesus and you’ll be at REST.” This is the gospel.

Take what’s undeserved today being conscious of His loving presence and watch His Supernatural supply silver-line all clouds of discouragement.

“When He [Himself and no other] had [by offering Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin] accomplished purification from sins and established our freedom from guilt, He sat down [revealing His completed work] at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Resting In His Love,
